In the Oscar nominated comedy Transamerica, Desperate Housewives’ star Felicity Huffman bags the role of a lifetime playing a pre-op transsexual who discovers she has a son (from a lone sexual encounter) a week before her re-assignment surgery.

Bree (Huffman) wants nothing more than to completely discard her former self. Initially refusing to acknowledge her son’s existence, her therapist is concerned that if she ignores her past as Stanley, she may put her future as Sabrina in jeopardy.
